What is the CVV Number?

The CVV Number (Card Verification Value) is an anti-fraud security feature to help verify that you are the owner of the credit card. For Visa/Mastercard, the 3 digit CVV number is printed on the signature panel on the back of the card immediately after the card's account number. On American Express branded cards, it is a 4 digit number on the front of the card printed above the card's account number.
